Georgian Foreign Minister visits Turkey
Eka Tkeshelashvili, Georgia’s Foreign Minister, arrived in Istanbul on Saturday to meet her Turkish counterpart, Ali Babacan, the Georgian Foreign Ministry has reported. The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a brief statement on August 26 saying that Georgia’s territorial integrity was important for Ankara. After her trip to Turkey, Tkeshelashvili left for Brussels, where EU leaders will discuss the Georgia crisis on September 1.
