The special commission to monitor and calculate the environmental damage Georgia has suffered as a result of the Russian occupation held its first meeting on September 2. The forty- strong group includes representatives from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Agriculture and experts from different spheres.
The commission’s monitoring report should be delivered in a month. Foreign experts’ recommendations will also be reflected in the report.
